The Opportunity
Can you imagine* diving into the development of the software and components that run our innovative mobile indoor mapping system, operated by partner companies in more than 25 countries worldwide?*

You will join the Mapping and Perception Team, and collaborate closely with people from a diverse set of cultural and professional backgrounds, who share a passion for delivering top-class mapping solutions that aim to digitize physical spaces through the creation of photorealistic digital twins. Do you have a keen interest in DevOps and a desire to work on a UI tech stack in topics around computer graphics, 3D data, and images? If you can imagine yourself working on our next-generation web application that runs on our mobile scanning device, you just might be the person we are looking for!

The Team's mission this year
To elevate our software solutions used in mapping entire buildings and creating realistic 3D representations based on cutting-edge technology in the area of robotics.

How you will make an impact

  • You will work on our UI application powering our mobile mapping system VLX (Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
  • You will contribute significantly to the backend that controls the mapping on our mapping devices (Python)
  • You will own the process of designing and building an innovative client-server architecture to connect high-performance computations for robotics with a simple to use and interactive web interface
  • You will collaborate closely with our in-house UI & UX designers to build the best mobile mapping experience

What will help you succeed in the role

  • At least 3+ years experience in professional software development of web applications.
  • A Master / Bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering (or similar) or no degree but self-taught top-notch coding skills
  • Profound experience with Angular (ideally 2+), TypeScript, JavaScript and its common libraries, e.g. Jasmine or Cypress
  • Hands-on experience in Python development
  • Experience with Git, Bash, and Linux in general (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, Redhat, SUSE) is an added advantage
  • Experience in debugging and profiling applications and improving their efficiency, scalability, and stability would be a nice to have

How we will know if we are a perfect match
Your recruiting partner for this role is Temitope (she/her). You can expect to go through a screening call, a take-home coding challenge, and up to three rounds of interviews, where we would love to discover your passion and interests, introduce you to who we are and what drives us, and finally understand how we can potentially add value to each other's growth.

How we will keep you smiling

  • It's important to take a break from work! We offer 30 days of paid time off per year
  • We offer flexible working hours and a hybrid work setup, enabling you to plan your work around your life, and not your life around work!
  • We offer full visa and relocation support for international candidates
  • A competitive compensation package that values the skills and experience you bring
  • Up to 4000 EUR employee referral bonus
  • German language classes to help you in your journey of integrating into the German culture!
